ACF fields and map filtering

Overview​

WPEnhanced Ajax Filter Blocks Pro integrates with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) in two ways:

  1. ACF field picker — Select ACF fields in the block editor instead of typing meta keys manually.
  2. Map radius filtering — Filter listings by distance from a point using ACF Google Map (or compatible map) fields.

Requires ACF (free or Pro) with fields attached to the post type queried by your Archive Loop.

ACF field picker​

Setup​

  1. Add Filter Posts Item inside Filter Posts.
  2. Set Filter source to ACF or Custom field (ACF).
  3. Use the Field picker to choose an ACF field (select, number, text, etc.).
  4. Pick a Control type appropriate to the field (Select, Range, Checkbox, etc.).
  5. Link Filter Posts to your Archive Loop querying the same post type.

The free plugin supports manual meta keys; Pro adds the picker and richer ACF field type handling.

Map radius filtering​

Ideal for directories, property listings, and store locators with lat/lng stored in an ACF map field.

Setup​

  1. Confirm listings have an ACF Map field populated.

  2. Add Filter Posts Item → Filter source: ACF Map (or Map radius).

  3. Select the Map field in the picker.

  4. Configure:

    • Default center or use visitor geolocation if enabled
    • Default radius and unit (km/miles)
    • Control — Slider, select preset radii, or numeric input

  5. Archive Loop post type must match the ACF field location rules.

Testing​

  • Pick a known address on the map filter—only listings within radius should appear.
  • Combine with taxonomy filters (e.g. listing type + distance).
