Quick start guide

Goal

By the end of this guide you will have CRM for Free Downloads Woo installed, licensed, and configured so it works with at least one free-download product.

Prerequisites

  • CRM for Free Downloads Woo installed and activated (see Installation and activation).
  • Free Downloads for WooCommerce Pro installed and activated.
  • At least one WooCommerce product set up as a free download (no checkout).

Steps

Step 1: Open the CRM / Email tab

  1. Go to WP Enhanced > Free Downloads Woo, then click CRM / Email.
  2. Confirm you see the add account form and any existing connected accounts.

Step 2: Activate your license (if needed)

Go to WP Enhanced > Free Downloads Woo > License to view and manage your WP Enhanced licenses. If you have a CRM addon license key and don’t see where to add it on that page, contact WP Enhanced support.

Step 3: Add a provider account

  1. On the CRM / Email tab, choose a Provider from the dropdown (e.g. MailPoet, ConvertKit).
  2. Enter an Account name and the API key for that provider.
  3. Click Add. Wait for the success message.
  4. Click Refresh lists next to the new account to sync lists from the provider.

Step 4: Choose the provider in Tracking

  1. Go to WP Enhanced > Free Downloads Woo > Tracking.
  2. Enable Track Free Downloads and Capture Emails if they are not already on.
  3. In Newsletter Subscription Option, select your CRM provider (e.g. MailerLite, Brevo, Mailchimp). This tells Pro to send captured emails to that provider when users download.
  4. Save the Tracking settings.
tip

You add and configure provider accounts on the CRM / Email tab; you choose which provider to use for newsletter signup on the Tracking tab. Both steps are required for the addon to work.

Step 5: Test with a free download

  1. Open a page or product that uses Free Downloads WooCommerce Pro for an instant free download.
  2. Complete the download flow (e.g. click the download button or submit an email form if required).
  3. Check that the addon is recording or sending data as expected (e.g. in your CRM or email tool, or in the addon’s own logs/list if available).

Verification

  • The addon settings save without errors.
  • A test download completes and, if applicable, appears in your email/CRM or in the addon’s reporting.
